ange hill sprints

The ‘Ange Anderson Daily’ 14 Feb 2015

14.02.15I’m must be a sucker for punishment! After a good rest I felt like pushing myself this morning so headed back to Main Ave at Balmoral. I managed to do this hill 4 times. It’s a shocker! If you’re feeling like a challenge try the hill sprints!

ange city

The ‘Ange Anderson Daily’ 13 Feb 2015

13.02.15 Motivation was a little hard to find being the Friday after a big week! My friend and I decided to have dinner in Kangaroo Point and having not completed my 30 minutes exercise we decided to park at the Kangaroo Point cliffs and walk. What an amazing view of such a beautiful city!

healthy food snacks 2

Snack Time…

SNACK TIME Many commercial snack foods are high in fat, sugar and salt, and low in fibre, vitamins and minerals.  Read labels carefully and don’t assume nutrition claims always mean the food is a healthy choice. Snacks often need to be planned.  If you are going out, take some food with you if healthy snacks […]

12.02.15 Considering I’m in training for Kokoda in PNG hills are becoming my go to exercise! Never in a million years would I have thought I would enjoy training at an incline. It’s tough mentally to push through but very rewarding because you can see what you’ve achieved! Today I walked up and down Dukinfield […]

The ‘Ange Anderson Daily’ 11 Feb 2015

11.02.15 I’m so proud of myself today! I don’t know about you but I’m getting more comfortable at pushing my body further physically as the month goes on. I’m realising how much fitter I am too. I tackled the Powerful Owl Trail at Mount Cootha today with a friend. He ran with me up the […]

The ‘Ange Anderson Daily’ 10th Feb 2015

10.02.15 I decided my 30 minutes today would be incidental exercise to loosen some stiff muscles from yesterday’s 50 club! I walked to the local seafood shop in Lytton (7km return trip) for a fish to grill for dinner. There’s nothing better than getting out in the fresh air instead of getting in the car.

We’d love you to do 30mins…but, if you only had 10 minutes what would you do?

“If you only had 10 minutes a day for exercise, what would you do?” Mauricio: From a physiotherapist’s perspective, I would look to be doing exercise that best prevents the occurrence and recurrence of injury. The human body is designed to be active and our joints give us incredible mobility to achieve a high level […]

breaking bad habits

The ‘Ange Anderson Daily’ 8th and 9th Feb 2015

08.02.15 It’s such a shame I couldn’t make the Fully Fit 5k Fun Run – looks like it was a cracker of a morning! I was stuck in bed thanks to a virus but that didn’t stop me moving for 30 minutes. I left the car at home walked the 6km return journey to the […]

ange hill

The ‘Ange Anderson Daily’ 7th Feb

07.02.15 I’m stuffed! I’ve never done hill spirits before so I thought I’d give them a go. Well, I’ve never felt a burn like that! Wow. I’ll be lucky if I can walk tomorrow. I managed to do 1 sprint and 3 walks up Main Ave in Hawthorne. What a killer!  Hope you’ve all managed […]
